The accident at sea in Chia last Sunday, when a migrant boat hit a 17-year-old tourist, is recounted minute by minute. The girl was with a 16-year-old friend; both were at the entrance to the boat lane leading to the beach when they saw the speedboat approaching. The boy swerved out of the way and was saved , while the girl was hit by the boat and is now hospitalized in serious condition.
«It is not true that they did not notice what happened» , the minor now claims, referring to the Algerian citizens on board the motorboat, «they saw us, after the impact they stopped, looked at us and then ran away» .

And now the perception of Sardinia is different: "We were so scared, something like this is unthinkable. It will be the fourth time we've seen a landing here; at the beginning of July they took a run-up and beached themselves among the swimmers. I'd like more security."
