A total of 25 migrants were intercepted this morning by the Carabinieri of the Domus De Maria station and the Pula station in Chia, after a landing in the Cala Cipolla area .

They are all men, without documents , who declared themselves to be of Iranian nationality.
During medical checks, one of the migrants, injured and in serious condition, was transported with a red code to the emergency room of the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, where he was admitted with life-threatening conditions.

During the landing , three others suffered minor injuries and were transferred to the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari by 118 personnel.

The rest of the group was instead accompanied to the reception centre in Monastir.

After their arrival, the migrants reported a shipwreck, prompting the Coast Guard to search for any missing persons. The sea searches, however, were negative: there were no shipwrecks, but the boat carrying the migrants was not found.
