Cagliari's new stadium, Solinas against the Municipality: «The only certainty is the money allocated by me»
The Sports Councilor, Giuseppe Macciotta, accuses the previous Regional Council of not having paid out the 50 million. The former president: «Mystifications, here are the documents: they did nothing»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
"It is truly unfortunate that a person who has been able to directly experience my seriousness and correctness in government action, can lend himself to such a low-profile disinformation activity to mask the absolute inefficiency of the current municipal and regional administrations on the issue of the new stadium in Cagliari."
Thus the former governor, Christian Solinas, responds to the statements of the sports councilor of the Municipality of Cagliari, Giuseppe Macciotta, who denied the existence of the funds allocated at the time by the Region, referring, as stated in a note, «to an unspecified lack of approval of the program agreement by the former president himself, but on which he announced a replacement intervention by the new tenant of Villa Devoto, Alessandra Todde».
According to Solinas, "it is the usual mystifying method of this broad Sardinian-style field, which tries to construct a distorted and misleading reality by always pointing out new responsibilities from the past to hide its own incapacity and inconclusiveness under a blanket of smoke."
The Sardinian secretary speaks of the "farce of the new stadium". And he adds: "The only certainty is the allocations made by my administration, because they are not in words but in official documents: article 11 of the regional law of 21 February 2023, modified by art. 2 of the regional law n. 9 of 23 October 2023, has allocated a good 50 million (5 times more than what the Municipality of Cagliari has put in, which stopped at 10 despite the stadium being its property), which have been regularly registered on the expenditure chapter SC09.0485 of the CdR 00.08.01.01 for 3 million to be used in 2023, for 15 million in 2024, for 12 million in 2025 and for 20 million in 2026".
In implementation of the rule, " my Council formally approved with resolution no. 39/3 of 28 November 2023 the draft Program Agreement with the Municipality of Cagliari and on the following 20 December 2023, following the signature of the then Mayor of Cagliari, I definitively signed the Program Agreement in my capacity as President of the Region pursuant to and for the purposes of art. 34 of Legislative Decree 267 of 2000. Finally, I proceeded", thus completing the obligations imposed by law on the President of the Region, "to publish the Program Agreement signed by all parties in Buras no. 70 of 21 December 2023. This is the documentary reality and does not require any thaumaturgic corrective intervention by the shamans of municipal and regional politics evoked by the good Macciotta".
After providing the regulatory and administrative references, the former tenant of Villa Devoto goes on the counterattack: «The Cagliari councilor would do well to give and ask for an account of what was done in 2024, the year of the installation of President Todde and Mayor Zedda, to carry out their urban planning and financial checks and simply give concrete implementation to the agreement in force».
