"Disgust, this is the word that sums up the drama." Stefano Urru is the owner of the Tre Archi pizzeria in Cagliari, the scene of some scandalous videos that have been making the rounds in the city's chat rooms and beyond, recorded by some employees (*) . Images that have overwhelmed the place: "We will remain closed for a necessary period of reflection," the entrepreneur announces from the microphones of a YouTube channel, without referring to interventions by health authorities in recent days (unrelated to the story), but assuring that "the person starring in the videos, let it be known, will not be fired and will continue to work with us: he is the victim, he is a destroyed person, he does not sleep, he has been subjected to bullying, which is nothing new in the restaurant world."
Urru weighs his words. He repeatedly dwells on the human story of the protagonist-victim: «The video is a few years old. And we will have to understand why it came out only now. Whoever did it played on the superficiality of a person. They instigated him, he would never have done it alone».
The entrepreneur invites "a reflection. We have been open for 40 years and something like this has never happened and I never thought it could happen. Cyberbullying phenomena are dangerous, now that person is not sleeping, is destroyed, has had family consequences. But I will defend her, I will not abandon her. She has worked for us on several occasions. There was also a rumor that she was undeclared: all false".
Urru thanks all those who have shown him solidarity: «Hundreds of messages, also from many colleagues».
And he announces: «I will defend myself in all the venues, those responsible will be identified by the postal police. They assured me that there are no other videos. Those who are in the kitchen can have moments of freedom, it was certainly not a lack of supervision. It was an isolated episode, but it changed me profoundly."
A clarification, then: «In our kitchen we don't use the rolling pin, it was brought to make that stuff».
(*) The editorial staff of Unione Sarda had decided not to talk about the story. We do so now that the owner of Tre Archi has decided to have his say, without filters.
