Today and tomorrow in Cagliari second weekend with Fiera Natale, a great event for everyone from 10.30 to 20.30, with continuous hours and free admission.
A tradition - Now in its 42nd edition, Fiera Natale is organized by the Special Company of the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari and Oristano with the patronage of the Regional Department of Tourism, Commerce and Crafts. "An unmissable event," reads a press release, "to celebrate the best artisan and food and wine traditions of Sardinia and offer spaces for leisure and entertainment designed for the whole family, with spaces dedicated to craftsmanship, food and wine, entertainment and the discovery of local excellence."
Pavilion I, the beating heart of Sardinian authenticity – In the 2,500 square meters of Pavilion I, an exhibition area will be set up dedicated to the promotion and marketing of typical food and wine products. «Sardinian agri-food excellence will be represented by companies from all over the island, flanked by a selection of crafts, wineries and breweries that express the best of local creativity and savoir-faire. A peculiarity of these areas», we read further in the press release, «will be the set-up, curated down to the smallest details, to evoke the most authentic Sardinia, offering an immersive and sensorial experience».
Show cooking – An island with an open kitchen will be the stage for the highly anticipated show cooking by the chefs of the Unione Regionale Cuochi Sardegna. During these events, some of the most typical recipes of the Sardinian tradition will be brought to the table, offering ideas for holiday menus and, at the same time, reaffirming the central role of the Sardinian agri-food sector. The public will be able to participate in guided tastings, learn the stories behind the dishes and discover innovative pairings with wines and beers of the island.
Pavilion A, gift ideas and creativity – Alongside the celebration of food and wine, Pavilion A will host the classic merchandise of the Christmas Fair. Objects, crafts and creations of your own ingenuity will be the protagonists, with many ideas for decorating the house or finding the perfect gift to put under the tree.
Outdoor spaces, Street food and fun for the little ones - Outside, a large area will be dedicated to the food truck with street food specialties that combine tradition and innovation, while a large playground will be ready to welcome the little ones, making the Christmas Fair a complete experience for the whole family.
A magical world dedicated to children! – This year, the Christmas Fair will host a special space dedicated to the little ones: The Elf Factory, where children can participate in creative and playful workshops to give free rein to their imagination. There will also be the evocative Magic Forest, designed by the Forestas Agency, which will surprise visitors with unique scenography. And, of course, the long-awaited Santa's House, where children can write their magic letters and post them in the elves' post office, among music, games and the contagious joy of Santa's friendly helpers.
