The procession - promoted by the "Sardinian Network - Defense of Public Health" and which brings together the numerous committees - started from the Basilica of Bonaria and stopped under the building of the Regional Council.

Among the claims of the demonstrators, the right to health and the maintenance and revitalization of territorial structures.

"The value of the event is extraordinary - explained the spokeswoman for the Network Claudia Zuncheddu - delegations are arriving from all points of Sardinia and the smaller islands, this is significant for the state of health of the public system, unfortunately totally paralyzed: we were in an emergency before Covid, the virus was then the alibi that helped to permanently close our local services. Our great concern is also the budget of all chronic patients and new sick people who have not had access throughout this year and a half. to care ".

Now, added Zuncheddu, "the data on life expectancy have collapsed and this is disturbing, we hope that the political class will listen".

"We have listened to the request of the territories most affected by the crisis and we are here for this - said the president of Anci Emiliano Deiana - our task is to open a channel of dialogue between the territories and the institutions".
