Under via Roma there are finds from Cagliari that was. It was obvious. And they emerged in the middle of the construction site for the construction of the new road based on the project designed by Stefano Boeri.

The wall of the ancient city was found in front of the Regional Council building: it popped up in the middle of the roadway that had four lanes before the intervention of the workers. The archaeological remains were discovered during the construction phase of the underground utilities.

Yesterday the wall was covered with a white tarpaulin and today the Superintendence technicians carried out an inspection together with the company managers.

"The hypothesis of the discovery of artifacts had been put into account," explains the mayor Paolo Truzzu, who follows the construction site step by step. And he reassures: «We were proceeding with the tests for the construction of the lamination tanks and the peripheral wall of the ancient city emerged. Obviously there is some slowdown in these days linked to this, but», assures the mayor, «now we know where they can be placed and we will proceed accordingly».
