Truzzu: «Agreement of all colleagues in the city council». The naming of the (now) Largo Carlo Felice was excluded: «He wouldn't have wanted to avoid someone»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
It will be “Passeggiata Gigi Riva”. This is the proposal of the mayor of Cagliari, Paolo Truzzu, who wants to name the new space that will be built along the port after Hombre Vertical.
«The right tribute and recognition to a great man who chose Cagliari and Sardinia as his home, inextricably linking his life to our land», writes the mayor and candidate for the presidency of the Region for the centre-right.
Truzzu, without citing it clearly, rejects the hypothesis of eliminating Carlo Felice from Largo: «I have received many proposals», he explains, «but I am convinced that Gigi would never have wanted to avoid someone and take their place, therefore a new creation will bring its first name. This will also allow us to create an artistic work in his honor right in front of the sea that he loved so much with a clear reference to a walk that reminds us of his lifestyle. How much he loved walking in the city."
With the agreement between the majority and the opposition, the motion will be discussed in the city council after the elections on 25 February: «Because Gigi Riva was not just a champion, but he is and will forever be a symbol of everyone, without distinction. He united us in one big hug, making us proud to be Sardinian and becoming a son, a nephew, a brother to us. One of the house."
