" Goodbye tent, let's go back to the Polyclinic ." After 105 days of protests in Via Roma, the Policlinico Oss are ready to return to Monserrato. There are 36 of them and they have been asking to be stabilized for some time . From there the all-out demonstration, in front of the Health Department. “We are finally able to see the path that brings us from a protest tent to our beloved jobs,” wrote the spokespersons of the precarious workers, Silvia Orefice and Desiderio Mallus, on Facebook.
«Looking back over these 105 days – he continues – we can say that it hasn't been easy. We were put to the test by the rain and the cold, by the thugs who pass through Via Roma at the weekend and by all our emotions. At times we felt abandoned, discouraged and defeated.
But we didn't give up knowing that if we took down this damn tent we would lose all our visibility. Yesterday the University Hospital of Cagliari published the resolution with which it undertakes to stabilize part of us. The ranking will however remain open and, given the shortage of staff, we will all be stabilised."

The sacrifices of the precarious workers - despite the difficulties - were not in vain . «For this we would like to thank the people who from day one to today have believed in us and in our fight». From there a long list of names, from that of the leader of the Sardinians in Europe to those of the workers of the I Sardi Soccorso association, passing through the lawyers up to the leaders of the Region and the Aou.

«Thanks to the Digos staff, and all the police forces, who watched over us.
Thanks to all the colleagues who participated in this fight, putting their families and their lives on the back burner, for this cause. Probably, in a few days we will dismantle the tent and the people of Cagliari will no longer hear about us. But they will remember us as those who fought for their rights and for public health, without ever giving up ", they conclude.
