A woman's purse was stolen while she was swimming: two arrested at Poetto.

Late this morning, the Cagliari Flying Squad, assisted by a team from the Quartu Police Station and the Highway Police, arrested two foreigners, aged 24 and 30, for theft in Poetto.
The two had shortly before stolen a woman's handbag while she was swimming near the Navy facility. Some swimmers witnessed the incident and alerted the Police Headquarters operations room. They never lost sight of the fleeing individuals, continuing to observe and pursue the perpetrators during the call, providing real-time information to the patrols that responded. Both young men were stopped and searched. The handbag was later returned to the victim, a 23-year-old woman.
