The center-right majority in the Municipality of Cagliari also screwed up on the classroom calendar. And it goes under, when it comes to voting. Result: the opposition line passes and in the coalition that supports Paolo Truzzu messages of veiled (political) threats fly.

It all starts with a request from the mayor. Generally, the Palazzo Bacaredda assembly meets on Tuesdays. Truzzu also proposed to the center-left to work on Wednesday afternoon: there is an important resolution of the metropolitan city to be voted on, which must be approved that morning.

They gave the okay from the opposition, asking, however, to be able to meet the previous day as well, to discuss numerous acts that had remained stationary for weeks due to tensions in the majority and political elections. Truzzu did not object.

The word went to the group leaders' conference. Antonello Angioni, who represents the four former UDCs of "Solinas president" immediately approved the double session. With him, at the beginning, also Alessandro Balletto, for Forza Italia. But during the discussion - remotely - the adamant no of the leader of the Psd'Az group, Roberto Mura, arrived: the opposition is not satisfied, it was his thesis.

And here the contrasting positions in the center-right emerge. The meeting, which was supposed to be operational only, lasted over two hours. With anomalous drops of line and excited phone calls off the air.

Towards the end, Balletto announced that he would adapt to the line of Mura and the allies. Angioni no: for consistency, he said, “I'm for the double session”.

It was decided to go to the votes, outside the practice of a meeting of the group leaders. The advocate of the group for Solinas, who with his colleagues has made the mayor dance in recent months, held the point and expressed a yes to the opposition's proposal. Of course there hasn't been a previous agreement. And the damage was now done. The majority that governs Cagliari has lost.

And Forza Italia has not digested it well: "Let's take note", it was said, "but there will be consequences" . The tension in the Town Hall remains high.
