They left from the T-Hotel in via dei Giudicati, crossed the whole city to Palazzo Bacaredda to ask the mayor, Paolo Truzzu, to be received. They are the taxi drivers from Cagliari , around forty, who marched through the streets of the capital this morning, but certainly more of them who joined the strike. However, they have guaranteed services to and from hospitals and for the disabled.

There were various reasons that pushed taxi drivers to demonstrate. First of all , the absence of dialogue between the parties for fundamental issues that concern not only the category, but the citizens themselves who use the service. But they took to the streets to turn the spotlight on the city's roads , revolutionized by construction sites which lengthen journey times, and for the taxi regulation being discussed in the commission.

Not only that, the category also crossed its arms as a sign of protest towards the tariffs which have been waiting to be updated since 2017 and "at the gates of 2024 with all the increases we have had, they are more sustainable".
