The protest of the rural world also comes to life in Sardinia. Starting from the port of Cagliari, where just before midday shepherds and farmers, arriving with tractors in the capital, blocked the exit of the vehicles and the entrance to the pier.

They had arranged to meet right in front of the Customs pier, with the first tractor arriving at the port at 10.18am alone.

But slowly, after work, the others also joined the protesters. “Enough bureaucracy” is the movement driving the protest.

«We are all united, Europe must not take away the little we have - explain the protesters - they even want to pay us not to cultivate, while the costs of fuel, fertilizers and feed increase. We can't work with these prices, we can't do it anymore because we can't cover the costs."
