From the Cuore parking lot to the Sant'Elia marina, up to via dei Navigatori: «The state of degradation is absurd». The complaint comes from opposition city councilor Ferdinando Secchi, who presented a question to the Cagliari City Council.

"There are many waste dumps, even though an exceptional collection has been arranged in the last few days," he points out, "but the problem is expected to reoccur in a short period of time. And it matters little whether the responsibility lies with the citizens or the administration: whatever the response, for a citizen or a tourist, it is sad and disarming to witness a similar scenario."

The situation has now degenerated, "with an increasingly evident abandonment by the municipal administration and a consequent degradation that risks compromising the quality of life of the residents and the very image of the city."

Much of the public lighting, both the street lamps and the lighting system that runs along the cycle/pedestrian path, the street furniture, some sections of pavement and the kiosks "are now damaged and vandalised. In particular, these structures that were inaugurated in 2014, are now abandoned and some parts have been uprooted and thrown into the sea, like some granite street furniture".

The public green areas «are completely abandoned: there are many dry trees and shrubs and in several parts the irrigation system is damaged.

To complete the scenario, Secchi claims, «the blocked walkway that goes from the Ichnusa pier to Su Siccu: the delivery of the work is late and even the works for the small fishing port are blocked».
