An alleged clandestine car race in the construction site where the workers were working, then the violent attack.
Intervention yesterday evening by the Carabinieri of the NORM Radiomobile Section of the Cagliari Company in via Montecassino: according to the reconstruction, two men - a 40-year-old resident of Selargius and a 32-year-old resident of Cagliari, both with criminal records and already subjected to DASPO - allegedly broke in on board their cars during what appeared to be an illegal race.
When they entered the area, revving like crazy, the workers protested. At that point the two "pilots" got out and violently attacked them with kicks, punches and even an iron pipe.
When the military arrived, one of the two was stopped and arrested red-handed, while the other managed to escape on foot but was later identified and reported.
The two victims were transported to the hospital "SS. Trinità", where they are still hospitalized. Their conditions are not serious.
The arrested man was placed under house arrest, the charges are aggravated personal injury, damage and private violence.
