He was wandering around Via San Benedetto on a scooter during the night, but a detail caught the attention of the Flying Squad officers: a metal object was sticking out of his back pocket. They conducted a check, which resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old man from Cagliari for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

The incident occurred during a routine patrol. When officers approached the man, he showed obvious signs of nervousness, prompting them to search him. The object that had aroused the officers' suspicions turned out to be a pair of large scissors, but it was inside his backpack and pockets that the officers made the most significant discovery.

The man had with him several small bags containing white crystals, weighing a total of 11 grams, as well as 140 euros in cash, divided into small denomination notes.

Laboratory tests by the Forensic Police confirmed that the drug was methamphetamine , also known as Shaboo, a highly potent and dangerous synthetic drug. A subsequent house search led to the discovery of numerous empty baggies, presumably used to package the drug.

The thirty-year-old was arrested and, after the validation hearing, the preliminary investigations judge confirmed the arrest, without ordering precautionary measures against him.
