Cagliari, policemen save an elderly man who wanted to jump from a building
After the alarm raised by some passers-by, the officers rushed to the scene: one of them grabbed the man before he could jump.
They acted with great professionalism and calm, managing an emergency situation. Thus the agents of the Cagliari Flying Squad avoided a tragedy on Friday evening: an elderly man was on a window sill, in a building in the Villanova district, and risked falling .
After reporting to the police headquarters operations centre, the patrols reached Via San Rocco (by an incredible coincidence, the same street where the man's tragic death occurred in the fire of his house several hours later). One of the policemen immediately started a conversation from the street with the particularly agitated and confused man. Meanwhile, the colleagues went up to the apartment and managed to enter. Once inside they prevented the worst by reaching and saving the elderly man .
Help then arrived and 118 personnel took care of the man. An action that took place in front of several people who were able to see the work of the officers, ready to do anything to avoid what seems to be an inevitable tragedy.
