The man, in the night between Friday 29 and Saturday 30 July, overwhelmed a motorcycle with his car , knocking the 77-year-old who was driving it to the ground. A patrol from the Accident Section of the Cagliari Local Police identified the injured person in via Is Cornalias , lying on the road.
Some witnesses said they heard a loud noise and glimpsed a dark-colored vehicle disappearing soon after.
After having assisted the injured person (transported to the emergency room in yellow code), thanks also to the testimonies of those present and some telephone reports arrived at the 113 Operations Center, the agents went back to the runaway car and its driver , a 45-year-old resident in the neighborhood that was driving with an expired driving license.

The man tried to deny any involvement: it is a pity that on the car, stuck in the front part, there were some fragments of the overwhelmed motorcycle.
