Cagliari, man dies while undergoing CT scan at Businco: autopsy ordered

The autopsy will clarify what really happened on Wednesday at the Businco hospital in Cagliari, when Virginia Lara died while undergoing a CT scan.
The facility's medical management requested further investigations to shed light on the incident. The postmortem examination, initially scheduled for yesterday but later postponed, is expected to be performed this morning, or at the latest this afternoon.
The 40-year-old woman, originally from Tertenia but transplanted to Ulassai, suffered from medical conditions and underwent diagnostic tests two days ago. The tragedy unfolded in a matter of minutes. It was during the diagnostic tests that the patient reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest, resulting in her death.
