Cagliari, large branch ends up on a car: massive damage, close to tragedy

It detached itself from the tree and ended up on a car parked in Piazza Indipendenza, in Castello: a large branch damaged the car without luckily hitting the numerous people present at the time of the collapse, around 6 pm.

The crash was sudden, frightening several tourists who were walking in Piazza Indipendenza. A Citroen was crushed under the weight of the branch: extensive damage to the roof, windshield, window panes and bonnet. Desperate the owner arrived on the spot.

Slight consequences also for another car parked next door. The firefighters intervened to verify, together with the green technicians of the Municipality of Cagliari, the stability of the tree and other large branches. Local police officers are also on site.
