An event awaited for years, which attracted about three hundred people for the inauguration which took place in the presence of the Archbishop of Cagliari, His Excellency Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi.
The works began shortly before the 2020 lockdown, now they see the light with a work that makes the church much more visible , founded in 1967 by Monsignor Botto in a former military shed, and which can be seen from the street with the entirely white portal from which it is accessed.
"This is a day of celebration for the neighborhood and beyond: we finally made it," said the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu, who took the floor greeting the parish priest Don Chicco Locci.
At the ceremony, among others, also the councilor for traffic Alessio Mereu, the president of the City Council Edoardo Tocco, the metropolitan deputy mayor Roberto Mura and, accompanying the new parish priest of his municipality, the mayor of Sennariolo Gianbattista Ledda.
