Cagliari, Sardinia, seals the friendship pact with Karakol, in Kyrgyzstan. The mayors, Paolo Truzzu and his colleague Bapaev Chingiz Arstanbekovich, signed it at Palazzo Bacaredda.

A journey that began a few months ago, in May, with the first visit to Sardinia by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy, Taalai Bazarbaev, which was followed by the trip to the Asian country, in September, by the President of the City Council, Edoardo Tocco. On that occasion, a first friendship and collaboration agreement was signed which was strengthened today in the mayor's room in the Town Hall.

A large guest delegation took advantage of the official visit to get to know Cagliari's traditions in depth and to discover the beauties of the Palazzo Civico in via Roma.

«We are happy to have you here», added Truzzu, «because we believe that this is a new stage in a journey that began over a year ago and which is reaffirmed today. With the aim that it is not only a strong bond of friendship and collaboration thanks to an exchange of good practices, but that it can also develop into cultural and commercial exchanges. I am convinced that your businessmen can make a good contribution to our city and that in the same way, our entrepreneurs can be useful to the Kyrgyz people."

«We received a great and warm welcome and for this», replied the mayor of Karakol, «we are very grateful. We really hope that our cities can continue this friendly relationship and that it can also develop on a business level."
