Tents and a large bonfire to spend the first night of protest in front of the port of Cagliari.

There are five days of agitation announced by the shepherds and farmers of Sardinia who have mobilized with their tractors to contest the policies and constraints of the European Union on production in the countryside.

Around a hundred demonstrators surrounded the fire, while many returned home, ready to return at first light in the morning to resume the "battle".

On Wednesday, the second day of the demonstration, the first meetings are scheduled to convey the protest to the institutions: shepherds and farmers will first see the leaders of Laore and Argea to take stock of the situation on aid to the regional agricultural sector.

In addition to the island, the mobilization also took place in other regions of Italy . Tractor parades also affected the Autostrada del Sole in Tuscany, with 400 vehicles also coming from neighboring regions and Veneto. Protests also in Liguria and Lombardy.

The Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida also spoke on what is happening, according to which "the protests of recent days derive from years of wicked choices by Europe".
