Cagliari, fire on the terrace: a cylinder explodes
A tent was on fire for reasons that are still under investigation. No injuries. Twenty interventions by the Fire Brigade on the last night of the year
Moments of fear in Cagliari , after midnight, in via Trincea delle Frasche : a terrace awning caught fire for reasons yet to be ascertained and gas cylinders were involved in the fire.
Fortunately one exploded without anyone being injured . In the end the fire was extinguished by the firefighters while the 118 personnel had to deal with a person intoxicated by the smoke from the fire , who was rescued on the spot anyway. It is yet to be determined what started the flames. The damage to the terrace was significant.
Concern for the inhabitants of the area is inevitable at the sight of the smoke coming from the building and above all at the moment of the explosion.
The night of the new year in the end saw the firefighters of the Viale Marconi plant engaged in twenty interventions .
Among the main ones, they put out a fire of car wrecks in the Roma camp along state road 387, put out the flames in a house in Gergei and in one in Assemini, rescued a dog frightened by barrels and got stuck in a fence in via Brescia to Cagliari, and they intervened for two minor accidents in Quartucciu and in via Portoscalas in Cagliari with a car that ended up on the stairway at the end of the road.
