The Euclide high school in Cagliari was occupied by students, a decision taken in the morning after a sit-in in front of the gates. Also last year the Euclid was among the first Cagliari schools to decide on this form of protest.

"We feel oppressed by the government," thunders the institute representative Michele Pintus. «The theme of representation and participation is fundamental, since the entry into office of the new executive and the new minister we feel increasingly oppressed. We want to make ourselves heard again to take back our discussion spaces. Politics continues to impose a school model on us that doesn't represent us, based on merit and competitiveness. We are tired, all this is unacceptable ».

The idea had been in the air for a few days: "We gathered in a sit-in in front of the school to exhibit our document," the students explain.

Pintus explains the objectives again: «We want to involve every person who lives in the school, as we all suffer from the same system of oppression and invisibility. Our goal is to build working and discussion tables to form a document that we will discuss in the Institute Council and which will represent a participatory and representative cultural renaissance for Euclid. May Euclid set an example in showing that student struggle and mobilization is not dead and will never die. We want our analyzes and proposals on the school to be included in the political debate, and until that happens we will continue to take to the streets and occupy our schools, we will continue to make ourselves heard".
