"The Company's primary objective is to proceed, as quickly as possible, with the payment of wage equalization payments, as previously communicated." This was announced by Arnas Brotzu's extraordinary commissioner, Maurizio Marcias, who announced that "the administrative offices have been instructed to pay the equalization payments for 2023 to all sector personnel—nurses, healthcare workers, administrative staff, and technical personnel."

"With regard to healthcare management," Arnas Brotzu continues, "it should be noted that the commissioner had to acknowledge the decision of the sector's trade union representatives, who, following a vote, approved a different calculation method than the one already applied for the distribution of performance-related funds . This new methodology will therefore have to be submitted to the Board of Statutory Auditors for evaluation."

USB Sanità is challenging Marcias's actions. "He continues to spread statements that prove to be nothing more than decoys," accuses its representative Gianfranco Angioni. " The management of the distribution of the additional regional funds earmarked for salary equalization for 2023 and 2024 is still a mirage , raising legitimate concerns among staff."

"With the financial year concluded," the union representative explains, "since the identified sums cannot be historicized, they must be redistributed into productivity according to performance-based evaluation criteria. If this were not to happen, it would be unacceptable for the commissioner to fuel false expectations , making people believe that 'everyone is worth one,' without considering the necessary evaluations and attendance at work."

While Arnas Brotzu's special commissioner and the unions are "working diligently, in a climate of constructive dialogue, to identify fair and favorable solutions for all staff, in compliance with current regulations and procedures," USB Sanità, on the other hand, believes " the lack of transparency is absolutely inadequate, generating ever-growing discontent . This conduct highlights the inadequacy of leading a healthcare organization so crucial to Sardinia."

Furthermore, Angioni emphasizes that Commissioner Marcias has significantly reduced incentives for technical positions, completely ignoring current regulations and the internal regulations of Arnas Brotzu. "This practice must end immediately. The lowest-paid workers in Sardinia do not deserve such treatment, much less to have their expectations dashed . What is happening within Arnas Brotzu is unacceptable. It's clear they're trying to silence and intimidate some troublesome union representatives with inappropriate transfers from one department to another, and we've already reported this to the relevant authorities."

In closing, USB Sanità appeals to the commissioner to adopt more responsible and transparent behavior , in the hope of restoring a climate of legality and trust within Arnas Brotzu. The time has come to listen to the needs of employees and act consistently with the principles of fairness and justice.
