Carabinieri officers from the Cagliari Provincial Command conducted a series of checks throughout the evening and night between Saturday and Sunday, patrolling the city's nightlife areas.

Numerous patrols, also supported by anti-drug canine units , have put under the microscope especially the areas where entertainment venues and youth areas are located, in particular the Marina district.

During the operation, over two hundred people were identified, several public establishments and the same number of vehicles in transit on the main arteries were checked.

"The operation," a statement from the force explains, "concluded without any critical issues: the checks carried out revealed no significant situations or incidents of illegality, confirming the preventive effectiveness of the service performed."
