Alarm this morning in viale San Vincenzo, in Cagliari, due to the discovery of a bomb.

The discovery was made by some workers engaged in the maintenance of public green areas in the area that houses the offices of the Department of Public Education.

The building was evacuated as a precaution while residents of the buildings opposite the offices of the Education Department were advised not to stand at the windows .

Viale San Vincenzo, from via la Vega to piazza d'Armi, was also closed for hours . At 5pm the road was reopened, following the completion of the bomb removal operations carried out by the soldiers of the 5th sapper engineering regiment of the "Sassari" Brigade. The bomb - 260 millimeters, Italian-made, still dangerous - was removed and transferred to the Simbirizzi area for safe blasting.
