Arrive at the San Benedetto market early in the morning: at 8.30 the fish aisles are already fairly crowded. «Good morning, how are you?», says Alessandra Zedda as she approaches each operator's desk. "Let's hold out a little longer, if we arrive at Palazzo Bacaredda, we will decide together with you the times and methods of the transfer", reassures the candidate for mayor of Cagliari for the centre-right, who was accompanied by the former mayor Emilio Floris.

«Without your involvement we won't do anything. Everything will have to happen knowing that in the temporary structure there will be guarantees to continue working, just as you do today."

Not only that: «All of you dealers must have the guarantee of returning to San Benedetto once the redevelopment works are completed».

San Benedetto is a fundamental stage in the electoral campaign of the mayoral candidates of Cagliari: the fate of the market, with the 40 million redevelopment and the temporary transfer to the structure set up in Piazza Nazzari is one of the main themes.

Between trust and (much) concern, operators are asking for certainties for the future. «We will decide together with you», says Alessandra Zedda. "No one will move from here before having defined everything and having the necessary guarantees."
