Cagliari, a young carabiniere who died in an accident in viale Monastir: this is who the victim is

The young carabiniere who died this afternoon in Cagliari was called Roberto Orlando and he was 28 years old in a terrible car accident.

The man, a Sicilian serving in the 9th Battalion and stationed in the San Bartolomeo barracks in Cagliari, was traveling with his Yamaha motorcycle in Viale Monastir when he crashed a Ford Transit van .

The impact was very violent and the 28-year-old suffered the worst: the soldier of the Arma was thrown from the vehicle and ended up on the ground after a flight of a few meters . The driver of the van immediately stopped to help him.

The arrival of the 118 rescuers was also immediate, unfortunately the resuscitation maneuvers carried out on the spot - which lasted a long time - proved to be useless.

The accident, the dynamics of which are still to be clarified , occurred shortly after 18.30.

In addition to the 118 operators, the Carabinieri and local police patrols intervened on the spot.
