A building in the Municipality of Cagliari occupied for several months was freed today following an intervention by the Local Police in collaboration with Social Services staff.

Inside the building in via Friuli, used in the past as the headquarters of some associations, there were six people: including a minor who had moved away from a family home.

It is not the first time that municipal officials have dealt with this building: a few weeks ago those who were inside had left after an exchange with the police, and then regained possession of the building. At the end of the operation, the building was returned to the Municipality which will now have to monitor to avoid new occupations in view of a recovery intervention.
