He broke into a personal care products shop on Via Pola in Cagliari and then attempted to flee after stealing goods worth approximately 700 euros.
The man, a 23-year-old of Senegalese origin, homeless and already known to the police, walked past the cash register with the "loot" when he was caught by a store employee who attempted to stop him. At that point, in an attempt to escape, the young man didn't hesitate to threaten the woman, causing moments of great concern.

The man was then stopped by the Carabinieri, who were immediately alerted, as he attempted to escape. Taken to the Provincial Command, after completing the usual formalities, he was arrested for robbery and held in holding cells, awaiting his appearance this morning before the judge for the fast-track trial, as ordered by the judicial authorities.
