She told the medical staff at Santissima Trinità that she had been raped: forced into sexual intercourse by a man. This version was also reiterated to the police who arrived hastily on Tuesday afternoon at the hospital in via Is Mirrionis to speak to the victim, a 22-year-old Sardinian. The young woman, in a state of shock, managed to provide some albeit confusing details. Given her state, however, she was not able to formalize a complaint: a matter of days and she will make official, probably with more precise information, what happened. And the investigations by the Carabinieri of the Cagliari company, already underway, will have an official imprint.

Confidentiality

The matter, due to its sensitivity, is kept under the utmost confidentiality by the investigators.

The young woman - according to the little information that has filtered out - arrived in the emergency room reporting that she had been the victim of sexual violence. The "path" envisaged in these cases was immediately activated. The police were able to speak with the victim, gathering little and confusing information given the woman's condition. While awaiting the report, investigations were immediately carried out in the place where the violence allegedly took place, in a suburban neighborhood of the city (the newspaper does not report the name of the neighborhood to protect the young woman).

The information

The investigators would also have other information in their hands to be able to trace the person responsible or in any case to shed full light on what happened. However, there are some aspects to clarify because the version of the young woman, in a state of shock, was not clear and in some moments she even appeared confused.
