A giant screen in the square of San Giovanni di Sinis to encourage wider participation, and several parking areas for approximately 500 cars, illuminated by four light towers and manned by 16 operators. These are some of the measures that will be implemented in the ancient ruins of Tharros on August 5th, during the presentation evening of the Cagliari Calcio squad that will be competing in the next Serie A championship.

This morning, Oristano Prefect Salvatore Angieri chaired a new meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety to review the event's organization.

During the meeting, the measures already outlined at the previous meeting were explored in greater detail, with particular attention to crowd management, the protection of the archaeological area, and the overall security of the event. Traffic will be regulated by the Highway Police, Local Police, Carabinieri, and three teams from the Crime Prevention Unit. The event access plan includes three levels of security, with ticket verification and the presence of 12 Cagliari Calcio stewards, divided between the gates and the team escort.

The players will arrive by bus and, from a reserved area, will reach the site by tourist train. Medical services will be provided by two ambulances near the area.

In the coming days, the Municipal Supervisory Commission will conduct further inspections. All the technical and operational details of the security measures will be finalized by the Police Headquarters technical committee. The Mayor of Cabras will issue specific ordinances prohibiting the sale and serving of spirits and beverages in glass bottles.

To allow for orderly public access, the archaeological site will close at 6:30 PM for the outflow of ordinary visitors, while the event will begin at 9 PM.
