Cabras, all ready for the Bottarga Festival: waiting for Carlo Cracco
The Mar' e Pontis Museum will also be inauguratedThe historic center of Cabras is locked down. The workers, many, are at work in these hours to set up an open-air restaurant. Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September there will be the great celebration of the flavors of Sinis.
After the success of the previous edition, the Bottarga Festival returns, this year enriched by a special focus on two pillars of Italian cuisine, rice and pasta, which will join the traditional protagonist, bottarga, offering visitors an even more complete and varied gastronomic experience.
The Festival is organized by the Municipality of Cabras with the support of the Region, the Fondazione di Sardegna and Gal Sinis. It will be two intense days full of events and initiatives, with many collateral activities organized to entertain and help visitors discover the history, flavors and traditions of the lagoon.
On Saturday 14th the activities begin in the morning, with the taste workshops and the inauguration of the Mar' e Pontis Museum, at 11. The heart of the shows will be Piazza Don Sturzo, with the opening of the “Piazza del Gusto” at 4.30 pm, a food area animated by the producers' market and the aromas of the delicacies of local restaurateurs, who will prepare special menus based on bottarga . Tasting is a must, also thanks to the exceptional dishes prepared by the guest chefs of the 2024 edition, who will perform during the two days in various show cooking on the stage of the large square, Marina Ravarotto, Pierluigi Fais, Laura Sechi, Gianluca Chessa. The great culinary show then continues with Salvatore Camedda and Masterchef Carlo Cracco, on Sunday evening. Also not to be missed are the moments of debate with journalists and food and wine critics.
