A few hours after the last farewell to the Fonnese entrepreneur Mauro Falconi , among the countless memories that flow on social media, there is also that of his brother Fabio. Who wanted to remember the bond that united them and thus thank all those who have gathered around the family after the tragedy of San Teodoro.

And Fabio Falconi himself, addressing his friends, specified that he found consolation in the "closeness of all of Fonni, Orotelli, San Teodoro, hamlets and all of Sardinia. Presences that make you travel in memories of the past and you think back to how lucky we were to live up to this point with Mauro in this short but intense life".

Hence the emphasis on the childhood spent with his brother: «We grew up with the attraction for racing», writes Fabio Falconi, «first as children the descents with "sos carruccios", with the neighbors and also beyond "ateros trihingios" then for a period we tried to use the skateboards sitting on the best descents».

And among the moments of a youth marked by a passion for engines, the praise to his older brother stands out, for having passed on to him a responsible driving style: «We already travelled to San Teodoro», writes Fabio, «and he taught me the techniques to "run with more safety"».

"Untouchable rules," Falconi clarifies, "he told me fasten your seatbelt, when you race always stay in your lane, never cut corners without visibility. If it understeers do this, if it oversteers do that, never overtake where you can't see the necessary space."

And then: "We ground out kilometers and kilometers: Fonni - San Teodoro - San Teodoro - Fonni always running. We always had this thing stronger than us, with anything that has wheels, tracks, motorcycle, car, van, tractor, we always revved all the engines to the maximum".

But it is in the analysis of a frenetic daily life, accompanied by non-stop rhythms that Fabio Falconi, emphasizes the crash of Sunday evening: "The accident could have happened to him for anything that we do not know, we will never know and honestly now it makes no difference to us to know or not to know. But he certainly found an obstacle right there, where God decided it had to be and how it had to be, God decided how it had to go and we sadly accept it and respect it".

And between lines full of pain and hope, the figure of a talented entrepreneur stands out, always at the side of others: «If you entered his heart, no one could touch you or speak badly of you. A great worker, a great husband and father, a great son who always laughed at the reproaches», writes Fabio Falconi finally, before turning a thought to his sister-in-law Sandra Zoroddu and the “gift” of his niece Maria Grazia, who will grow up without a father figure: «A rock like her father, who will quickly grow up brave. She wants to keep all of her father's things and we will do everything we can to please her and support her in everything she wants to achieve. We have always been very united but now we will have to unite even more».
