Businco, doctors' unions united: «The appointment of the "chief" of Thoracic Surgery is illegitimate, cancel it»
Very harsh document against the top management of Arnas Brotzu signed by all the acronyms that represent the Sardinian lab coats: «Revoke the assignment or it will be a legal battle»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
«He violates the contract, the resolution to appoint Pietro Antonio Macciò as substitute director of Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Endoscopy at Businco must be annulled».
It was in the air, now it has ended up on paper the position taken by the doctors against the provision of the Arnas Brotzu management that assigned the position that remained vacant due to the resignation, after just one month, of Paolo Albino Ferrari: a U-turn, that of the doctor, that would have arisen from irreconcilable disagreements with the company management. All the doctors' unions are asking for the appointment of Macciò to be stopped. The document is signed by Cesare Iesu (Aaroi Emac), Susanna Montaldo (Anaao), Myriam Pastorino (Cgil Medici Fp), Luigi Mascia (Cimo), Gisella Carrucciu (Fassid), Carlo Cabula (Fesmed), Maria Luisa Boi (Uil Fpl), Piergiorgio Fiori (Cisl Medici).
The resolution, they write, is "not in accordance with the contractual provisions". The appointment "appears to be completely in contrast" with the national contract "which regulates the procedures for replacing the Director of a complex structure in the event of a vacancy due to termination of the employment relationship".
It is expected that in order to identify the acting directors, a selection procedure will be activated "primarily within the same structure" and, secondarily, a "similar selection procedure must be activated, in the same discipline, within the department or district to which they belong".
Not only that: the unions underline that the selection won by Ferrari (who later left) «had other medical directors of the same facility who were suitable to cover the position» participated. Therefore, it was possible to draw from that ranking.
In any case, the accusation is that the contract "does not in any way provide for the possibility of assigning the role of substitute to the director of the department, who in this case does not belong to the same discipline". Therefore "the appointment in question appears to be completely illegitimate, with the aggravating circumstance of determining damage, both professional and economic, towards the medical directors of the facility".
The doctors are threatening to take legal action if their request goes unanswered.
