Health inefficiencies continue in Burcei with a clinic that opens only once a week for a few hours and with one of the two general practitioners who will soon retire.

For Mayor Simone Monni, the situation needs the due attention of the ATS and the Region: "A municipality like ours", he says, "can no longer go on with essential health services that are increasingly shrinking. We need answers. and in a short time. " "In December - adds the mayor - one of the two general practitioners will retire. It is not even conceivable that he will not be replaced".

For health councilor Mauro Serra, Burcei "is in a geographical and isolated condition that deserves particular attention and adequate responses. It is no longer a time for promises, but for answers. Discontent increases in the country and further actions are not excluded if there will be no positive responses from the Region and ATS ".

The Uil Fpl union has also recently intervened to urge the opening of the clinic twice a week and with the presence of new specialists.

Currently on Fridays only the presence of the diabetologist, the gynecologist and the neurologist is guaranteed for a few hours. The clinic is requested to open twice a week, guaranteeing Burcei also cardiology, mental health center, orthopedics, physiatry and otolaryngology.
