Mayor Piero Casula 's majority loses an important piece. The group leader Roberto Deriu resigned from his position, also detaching himself from the "Un'altra Bosa" group. Decision, it seems, also taken due to the unease among the majority linked to the appointment of Guglielmo Macchiavello, city secretary of the Sardinian Action Party, as technical councilor for tourism.

In his farewell letter, Deriu speaks of «a decision made necessary because relationships have no longer existed for some time, with the councilors relegated to executors of decisions taken by others. I don't remember - writes Deriu - when the last meeting was held to discuss topics relating to the city administration. The decisions, political and administrative and above all the changes within the administration, have come to fruition, presented as great prospects for the city, but only revealing someone's political aspirations".

And hence the political attack. «These insufficient and unsuccessful entries – underlines Deriu – into the reality of the facts have made the results even more disappointing with a long series of unfinished business».

And finally the direct attack on Casula; «You didn't consider it appropriate to let me participate in the decisions, diminishing my role. I will continue to be a municipal councilor independently, neither with the majority nor with the opposition, evaluating the proposals",

And when asked if he considers himself a Sardinian, Deriu replies: " I don't identify with the Bosa section."
