Blackout at Brotzu, problems in the hospital's electrical substation

Emergency, Saturday evening, at the Brotzu hospital due to a blackout which created problems and inconveniences to the activity of the health unit. Entrances to the emergency room blocked.

The arriving patients were diverted to the Santissima Trinità and the Monserrato Polyclinic. The blackout, which occurred shortly after 8pm, is linked to a problem in the cabin used for the Brotzu's energy supply, perhaps caused by the great heat.

"The situation is under control", the management of the facility says and all patients are safe.

The internal team is working to resolve the emergency. If it were necessary to use operating rooms, those of the nearby Businco hospital would be used.
