Even some centers in Northern Sardinia suffer from the lack of general practitioners which is creating a lot of inconvenience to citizens. This is the case of Bessude, Siligo and Banari, separated from each other by a few kilometers and which, in three, do not even reach 2 thousand 500 inhabitants.

Three small towns that, for some time now, have been united, not only for the fact that they belong to the Union of Municipalities of Meilogu, but also for the absence of a doctor who forces many inhabitants to go to the Thiesi doctor's office.

The mayors Roberto Marras (Bessude), Francesco Basciu (Banari) and Giovanni Porcheddu (Siligo), have decided to join forces and make their voices heard.

“As regards the announcement relating to the provisional assignment of primary assistance for Siligo, Banari and Bessude by Ares Sardegna, we inform you that, to date, there is no expression of interest. The call remains open without deadline, pending a candidacy - reads a joint note -. As for our administrations, as has already happened, we are doing everything in our power, but the result does not depend on us. When the general practitioner with provisional appointment is appointed, the health company will assign patients without assistance coverage ".

“It is specified that, given the current rules, users, in charge of another doctor will not be able to transfer back to the patients of the new doctor in charge - continue Marras, Basciu and Porcheddu -. For our part, we will continue to urge the bodies and bodies in charge, at all levels, to ensure that this dispute reaches a positive solution as soon as possible ".

In Thiesi, on the other hand, Dr. Giordani arrives and will do an outpatient clinic in the office in Via Umberto 3.
