Baunei, alarm for an out-of-season fire: the flames lick the houses

It took three hours of work to put out a fire that broke out in the center of Baunei .

Since 2.45pm the heart of the town has been apprehensive about the flames that have devoured the Mediterranean scrub, over an area of a thousand square metres, touching the homes of Via Roma, near Is Scalittas.

The alarm went off when the operations room of the Nuoro fire brigade received the first report, which was transmitted immediately afterwards to colleagues in the Tortolì detachment. In a few minutes the teams traveled along the Eastern Sardinian coast arriving at their destination.

After almost three hours of intense work, the 115 staff managed to get to grips with the out-of-season fire and clear the fire, whose origin was probably malicious, avoiding possible damage to homes. A team from the Baunei forestry station also worked on the same event.
