Tomorrow won't be a day like any other. At least for Nicola (fictitious name), a six-year-old disabled child living in Baratili San Pietro . For the first time tomorrow morning he will be able to sit at his desk and spend several hours with his classmates. It will be the first day of school for him and he will also be able to hug his support teacher, who has already been at school for some time.

The Municipality of Baratili San Pietro, after protests from the little student's family, managed to equip a suitable room to allow the child's assistant to change and wash him . As the family had requested several months ago. First last May during a meeting with the municipal administrators and the school management, then also in September, shortly before the start of school.

The protest of a few days ago was therefore useful. The Municipality has finally set up an area with everything the family had requested for the child, who was also confined to a wheelchair: a room heated with hot water, a piece of furniture where some seats could be changed for rest.

Deputy mayor Giannantonio Madau : «We managed to complete the changes to the hydraulic system, necessary to ensure hot water, and electricity, for heating the closet. In agreement with the family and the school, the child will be able to start attending immediately, further interventions are planned in the next few days to further improve the place. We renew our apologies to the family who, despite the inconvenience suffered, have proven to be understanding in this unpleasant situation ." In the first primary school of Baratili San Pietro tomorrow there will be a big party.
