Eight indictments for the crash of the Sassarese Polyclinic, declared bankrupt in 2019 and then taken over by a new corporate group.

The gup of the court of Sassari, Sergio De Luca, accepted the requests of the prosecutor, Mario Leo, and sent the members of the board of directors in office from 2014 to 2019 to trial for the bankruptcy of the private clinic, and the college of mayors always referred to that period.

The executives indicted are the president Piero Bua and the directors Francesco Paolo Bua, Edoardo Bene, Giovanni Pinna and Vincenzo Dettori, the latter was also general manager. They are accused of having made preferential payments to some creditors, to the detriment of others, to avoid reporting to the Bank of Italy's central risk office, payments which in total would reach around 5 million euros.

The members of the board of statutory auditors, Erasmo Meloni, Franceschino Paschino and Giovanni Pinna Parpaglia, were indicted with them on charges of omitted supervision. The trial will open on June 28.
