A second arrest was carried out in these hours by the Oristano Police in relation to the robbery of the Arborea Cooperative Credit Institute which took place in Donigala Fenughedu on February 16 last year. The "coup" had yielded around 18 thousand euros.

A 32-year-old from Orgosolo, multi-prejudiced, who allegedly acted with an accomplice, already in handcuffs, ended up under house arrest.

One of the robbers, with his face covered by a mask and hat, had entered the bank armed with a pistol, threatening the death of the two employees and the only customer and then quickly disappeared after grabbing the cash from the tills.

The searches had immediately started, with numerous checkpoints set up throughout the province that had made it possible to identify the material author of the blitz and arrest him . During the investigations, several witnesses were heard and many hours of images recorded by the video surveillance systems were viewed. It was thus ascertained that the robber, who fled on foot, had boarded a car parked in a street parallel to the one where the bank is located, where his accomplice was waiting for him.

In the house of the arrested today part of the booty was recovered: the man had hidden it in the double bottom created inside the cradle of his newborn son.

The guarantee questioning will take place in the next few days.
