A 53-year-old native of Maracalagonis arrested for home theft by the Carabinieri.

The man, according to the accusations, had entered in a few days in two different houses in Settimo San Pietro and Sinnai in order to steal as much as possible. Never succeeding.

In the first case, dating back to Thursday 16 September, the goal was an independent villa of very recent construction, still uninhabited. The man shattered the glass of a kitchen window but the noise attracted the attention of the neighbors who, frightened, alerted the Carabinieri. The thief fled.

Five days later he tried again, this time in Sinnai at 3 am. I always aim for an uninhabited house: in this case he managed to enter through a window, rummaging through the various rooms. But he was frightened seeing the lights of a Carabinieri patrol in transit and hearing the random alarm of a car. So he escaped from the same window where he had entered just before.

Numerous reports acquired by the soldiers of the Carabinieri Station of Sinnai and of the Norm of Quartu Sant'Elena through the viewing of the videos of the video surveillance systems. But also thanks to the footprints left everywhere by the clumsy thief, well known to the military because he was burdened with numerous precedents for theft and other crimes against property.
