At the Antiquarium Turritano, the traditional sound instruments of Masia are on display

A themed workshop for one of the European Heritage Days, scheduled for Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September at the Antiquarium Turritano National Archaeological Museum in Porto Torres. During the evening of Saturday, starting at 8:30 pm, the exhibition curated by Fabrizio Masia entitled “Soni, frusci, gioghi sunori e istrhumenti musicari” will be inaugurated, a sound journey into tradition. Traditional sound instruments and games will be on display.
For the occasion, the author will guide visitors through a journey in which he will tell curiosities, uses, and creation of the various objects on display, some of which he will “test”.
On Sunday 29 September, the Antiquarium will have an extraordinary opening, from 4pm to 8pm and starting at 5pm with free admission for the event, the Museum has organised a “journey through time” through the rooms of the Palace of King Barbaro, the cubicula of the Domus of Orpheus, the cardo and the tabernae, accompanied by a narrator, who will animate the monumental remains of the Colonia Iulia Turris Libisonis.
The route will also be enlivened by musical interludes , by the Coro Polifonico Turritano, directed by Laura Lambroni, and the Cantori della Resurrezione, directed by Fabio Fresi, two historic choirs of the city of Porto Torres. During the evening, an exceptional stop will be at the Terme Pallottino, currently excluded from the ordinary visit route.
