A near tragedy in Assemini, where an 83-year-old man was saved thanks to the promptness and cool-headedness of his son and the advice of the 118 operator contacted by telephone.

The elderly man was eating a zeppola when a piece went wrong, he lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground , risking choking to death. The son and his wife immediately called 118 and the nurse operator, while the ambulance was leaving, gave the 83-year-old's son instructions to make him spit out the lost morsel .

The man was on the ground, his son had to give him a sort of massage to make him throw out the piece of zeppola. With great coolness he succeeded .

So, when the ambulance arrived, the elderly man had already recovered. The doctors carried out all the necessary checks and investigations, but the alarm had now disappeared . Fortunately.
