Sandro Arzu's phone doesn't ring and his car can't be found. The 54-year-old from Arzana has been missing since Wednesday evening, when he did not return to his home as usual, immediately fueling the concern of his family ( HERE THE NEWS ).

The sister reported the facts to the Carabinieri of Lanusei and, more than 48 hours after the disappearance, the mystery becomes more and more dense.

The man was not subjected to any restrictive measures, only the obligation to stay in Arzana, a special surveillance measure.

On 14 September 2021, a hitman had attempted to kill him in the Arzana countryside. In the circumstance he had been graze wounded: the bullet that had hit him in the chest had gone in and out, as the doctors of the Emergency Department of the Lanusei hospital had ascertained.

The last conviction of Sandro Arzu, assisted by lawyers Francesco Marongiu and Rita Dedola, dates back to January 15, 2021. The gup considered him the leading man of an organization of 23 people aimed at drug trafficking. The appeal trial is set for June.

In the past Sandro Arzu and his brother Luca had been arrested on charges of killing their fellow villager Bruno Ferrai in 1993. The Arzus held him responsible for the murder of their father Pietro, assassinated in 1987. They had been sentenced to 26 and 16 years in prison.

In July 2018, the Ros military had confiscated assets for a total value of 850 thousand euros from Sandro Arzu: a house with attached garage in Senorbì, an insurance policy, a car and a large sum of money.
