The headquarters of the “Filippo Figari” Art High School in Sassari hosted the award ceremony of two scholarships established by the family of Bruno Desogus, an artist and student of the institute in the early 1960s. The scholarships, intended to enhance merit and artistic talent, were awarded to Michele Ruiu, of the VD class, Graphics major, and to Benedetta Usai, who graduated last school year in the Graphics-Picture major.
The event was held in the Exhibition Space – Library and was attended by the Headmaster Mariano Muggianu and Mrs. Mietta Desogus, representing the artist's family.
With this initiative, the “Filippo Figari” High School renews its commitment to supporting young talents and to keeping alive the bond with its history and the personalities who have marked its path. “We are happy – Muggianu declared – to introduce today’s students to the human and artistic figure of Bruno Desogus who returns to this school with a commendable gesture of generosity strongly desired by his wife Nicolina Sechi, who unfortunately recently passed away”.
